View of Grave's Mountain, Lincoln County, Georgia

Graves Mountain is located on the Washington Highway near the Wilkes County line in Lincoln County, Georgia. Throughout the early 1900’s Graves Mountain was a favorite gathering spot for church picnics and family outings. Lover’s Leap was the romantic name for a rock outcropping on the mountain, seen in the upper right. The mountain was partially destroyed by mining in the 1960s and has not been restored.
