Hephzibah Baptist Church, Lincoln County, Georgia

Hephzibah Baptist Church is located on Hephzibah Church Road in the Graves Mountain Community of  Lincoln County, Georgia. The photograph was taken in the early 1910s, as evidenced from the Model T Fords in the foreground. The church, which is still in use, was organized in 1831 by J. H. Walker, Wychie Johnson, Francis Taylor and J. P. Marshall. The date of the present building is not known. It was reported in Perryman’s History of Lincoln County to have a membership in 1933 of 267.
